Your Estate
What, exactly, is "Estate Work"?
"Estate Work" encompasses anything that has to do with your "estate". While that sounds redundant, it is true. Your "estate" is everything that you own and everything that you have rights to today. For example, you have rights to your car. You also have rights in such things as your money, your home, your clothes, your jewelry and your TV. You may even have rights in other things that you cannot touch or feel, such as stocks and bonds, or a right to receive money. These are all yours and collectively make up your estate. When we at Vinsko & Associates say we do "Estate Work", we mean that we can help you plan for the future of your estate in order to protect it from avoidable unfortunate circumstances, pass it to your heirs, or put it away for safekeeping. This is done through such tools as:
- Wills
- Trusts
- Living Wills
- Powers of Attorney, and
- Advance Health Care Directives
In addition to these tools, there are also concerns with regard to Medicare, Medicaid and Medical Assistance about which you may have concerns. We can help you there as well! So, let us help you plan your estate! After all, it is everything that you own! We want to make sure that your wishes are fulfilled and your interests are protected.
Who Plans My Estate?
YOU DO! Everything about your estate is your decision! We merely provide the options available under Pennsylvania Law and tailor them to your specific needs and wants, assets and interests, hopes and dreams. Once you have all of the options, you make the call. We will then create an estate plan to that works for you taking into account all of those factors. The object is to allow you to maintain control over your life, now and in the future!
What Happens When I Die?
It is never a "fun topic" to discuss death. However, it is a reality, and your estate has to go somewhere. That is one of the reasons why we at Vinsko & Associates provide these services. A good estate plan will work for you from the day you create it through and after your death. So, to answer the question, when a person dies, what happens is usually exactly what you wanted to happen! You make the decision when you plan your estate, and that is what happens at death. When everything is not accounted for, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania decides where your estate goes through its intestate laws. Isn't it better for YOU to make those decisions?
"Where there's a WILL, there's a way!"
"TRUST your estate!"
